So Much Better

Here we go! One of my favourite songs from this album is viewed today and I hope it'll become your one after you listen to it.
This track is all about rap game. Em compares it to his girlfriend and actually says that it would be so much better he never met her at his way. Also there's a very catchy hook I loved so fast... And not only me, my friends also were delighted with this song.

Maybe you'll be surprised but "So Much Better" makes a reference to smurfs, the same movie heroes. Eminem built a metaphor about blue, so... apparently he had to include them =) Also, such people as Dr.Dre, Drake and Lupe are  mentioned in the track.
Another funny moment is a part of the third verse, when Em's like "Oye-yoy-yoy, man oh man, your boy-boy-boy's getting sick of these girls-girls-girls, oink-oink-oink, you freaking pigs, all you good for is doink-doink-doink".We laughed at it several times in the row :D

By the way, me and my friend Alexey are learning "So Much Better" for an event: his brother and at the same time one of my best friends Sasha will come back from the army soon. So both me and Lesha will spit it on the meeting day =)

Parking Lot (Skit) and Rhyme or Reason

Hi again!
Today I will focus on the skit "Parking Lot" and the third track "Rhyme or Reason".
What do we call skit? In rap skit is a short track about one minute or less ( "Parking Lot" is 55 sec) and usually skit is used as preface to the next song. Speaking of Marshall's skits, his last album "Recovery" didn't have a single one, so this time Em decided to include skit in MMLP2. What's interesting is that "Parking Lot" continues old story about bank robbery (to be truthful I didn't heard about that) and at the end of skit Em shots himself again. Why again? I can count a large number of songs where Em commits suicide... That are "When I'm gone", "Space Bound", etc. There's no need to count it now. I can't say that Parking Lot is a foreword to "Rhyme or Reason" but what do we know about Eminem's ideas?? Maybe it's so.

"Rhyme or Reason". I noted to myself that I have already heard that bridge... Maybe that bridge I've heard is  very similar to Em's one, I don't know, but it interested me enough. Lyrics are insane, Em just goes off on hate spew against everything, even his dad. Idea of the track doesn't fit with relaxed melody of the chorus and that's feature. Also, in this track Em compares himself with Jedi traning and Rick Rubin with "Yoda of rap", check it:

Well, good track but don't forget Eminem is gaining his power and to the middle of the album you'll understand that... My next post will be about "So Much Better" is one of my favorite songs from MMLP2 sooo.... there are rhyme and reason to witness it!

Bad Guy

As I promised, this time I'll discuss about the first track from the MMLP2 called Bad Guy.This is a sequel to Eminem’s song Stan on the first Marshall Mathers LP. “Stan” is about a crazed fan who kills himself, his girlfriend and their unborn child because of Eminem’s “lack of attention” paid to him as a fan. ‘Bad Guy’ is about Stan’s little brother who loved his brother more than anything. Matthew Mitchell is all grown up now and wants revenge for Stan’s death. He wants to bury Em alive beside his brother's grave, but something goes wrong and Matthew has to change his plans. He decides to kill Em the  same way Stan died and throws a car him and Em in off a bridge.

Following the song, they die. Stan is avenged. Awesome beginnig of the album, I think. It's really extraordinary idea of continuing the old story.

Song gave me goosebumps with that amazing lyrics, atmosphere of the first MMLP and, of course, that FOURTH VERSE! Beat changes, and Em spits like a demon who represents all Em had in his life. Very, very emotional verse, it made me listen to it over and over again...

So, summing it up we have a brilliant album's beginning and awesome track simultaneously. Do you have a interest about following songs? Yes? Wait for next review then!

Hi, hip-hop listeners! I gonna share my gladness about a significant event. The fact is, after a three years hiatus Eminem has released a new album! Get ready... The Marshall Mathers LP 2! Or, simply put, MMLP2. You can find a tracklist here.

Ok, I downloaded this album so fast that Superman flying past my window stopped and said "That's speed, man!" But dash 'em jokes.

It's the eights studio album by Eminem. It was producted by Rick Rubin and Dr.Dre particulary. To be truthful, there are so many things are expected from it, but no one exactly knew what'll be in it. But now we can see that Em takes us back to 80's to show us a true hip-hop forms. Em even died his hairs again!

Blond again... epic comeback of Slim!

To feel all of the atmosphere of the album you, of course, should listen to it, what is more, repeatedly. In my blog I will make every song from MMLP2 out trying to understand it and, you can make sure, it will be very catching.
